A pallet or container built to fit an aircraft hold, used to load cargo as one unit.
In practice
Common types are the PMC pallet (96 x 125 inches) and the AKE container for narrow-body lower decks. Cargo built onto a ULD (BUP, built-up pallet) can get better rates because the airline handles it as one piece.
