Low Sulphur Surcharge

A surcharge for the extra cost of cleaner, low-sulphur fuel required by IMO rules.

In practice

Introduced for emission control areas and then globally with IMO 2020 (0.5% sulphur cap). Some carriers merged it into BAF; others keep it separate. Also seen as LSF or ECA surcharge.
